Do you keep kicking up against a wall but don’t know how to proceed from there? Are you afraid of falling over if attempting a free-standing handstand? From the most efficient handstand conditioning drills, to finer balance teaching exercises, learn this and everything else you need to feel confident in making progress and achieving a handstand.


We start with some Sun salutations to warm-up our mind and bodies, especially our wrists, elbows and shoulders. The workshop focuses on:
• specific hand and wrist strength and conditioning, and body-line drills to strengthen our handstand ‘line’
• theory of handstanding so we understand why we perform the drills
• how to spot a training buddy safely

We finish with a cool-down sequence including self-massage exercises of fingers, hands, wrists, arms and shoulders
